How to Guide - Upload a YouTube Video

To upload a YouTube Video to your waiting room service, you will need Administration permissions within your platform account role, alternatively speak to your Department or Customer Administrator.

Firstly select the video clip from YouTube and head to the 'share' option to the bottom right hand side of your screen.

You should then be presented with a pop up window that looks similar to this. Choose 'Embed'.

You will then be presented with this window:-

From here you will need to select the link from the box on the right hand side of the screen and copy the URL in between the “ “ highlighted below for clarity:-

Copy this path as you will need to enter this in the relevant field within the 'Theming' tab of your waiting room service.

Next, log in to your SQOD platform account and select the waiting room you wish to edit, and choose the pencil icon.

Scroll down the page until you see the 'Theming' tab, sitting below the opening time selection options.

You can then paste the video link path in the box provided, and scroll down the page to select save.

When Service users join your waiting room service they are now offered the option to play the video you have attached to the service, see example screen.
