More Audio Troubleshooting
When connecting to your video call on either a laptop, tablet or PC and no audio is heard but you can see the device permissions are correct, we recommend checking the device in the settings.
On a Windows based laptop, tablet or PC you can see the sound settings from the task bar in the bottom right corner of the screen, accessed by right clicking the speaker icon:
If you open the Volume mixer you are presented with settings that show the output and input devices (in this instance headset earphone and microphone). These will typically be in a drop down list, especially if you have more than one headset earphone or microphone capable of being used, plus shows the master volume for the device:-
Do ensure these are set to the correct input and output of choice and that the volume levels are adjusted to comfortable levels for you.
Some browsers will show you the devices being used and the volume level:-
In the image above 'default' is displayed as the headset has been set as the default for this particular laptop. As you can see, the volume level is very low; this can be adjusted by sliding the marker up or down to a comfortable level for you.
End.
