Audio or video device challenges when joining
SQOD requires access to your camera and microphone. If you're having issues on a laptop or PC, start by unplugging the USB connector on your camera or microphone and plugging it back in.
The next step to check is the browser; it may not have access to use the device. You can check this from the URL bar at the top of the screen:
In Chrome it looks like this:

Both camera and microphone are able to be used.
If the permissions were not allowed the icons look like this:

In Microsoft Edge icons look like this:

In Firefox they look like this:

During the call, if you have more than one camera option (e.g. built-in and external), select the Cam button at the bottom of the call screen to switch between them.

Additional audio troubleshooting
If you can see that device permissions are correct but audio is still not working, check your device's sound settings.
On a Windows laptop, tablet, or PC, right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar (bottom-right) and open the Volume Mixer.

This shows your input and output devices (e.g. headset and microphone). If you have multiple devices, they'll appear in a dropdown; ensure the correct ones are selected and that volume levels are comfortable.

Some browsers also display the active device and volume level. If the volume appears very low, adjust the slider to a more suitable level.
