Equipment and connection test
It is recommended that you test your equipment and data connection before you join your video consultation. Just ensure that your device has sufficient battery life to last the duration of your video call. The platform you are joining will prompt you to test your equipment. The test will look at the four key components required to have a successful video interaction, these include; your camera, your speaker, your microphone and your internet connection.
The Connectivity test can take up to 30 seconds (sometimes a little longer) depending on the speed of your internet, ie., where you are running your test.
From this screen you can choose to Run test.
Test Outcome
If any one of the key components needed to have a successful video interaction are not working as they should, the platform will indicate a '❌' alongside the component with the issue. If fine, 'everything looks great' will be indicated and you can select 'continue' to join your consultation.
You can choose to 'skip test' and proceed to 'Join Meeting' immediately.
